Ceremony: 4 Elements

Two recent brides have included the four elements into their ceremonies. During this ritual, the couple partakes of vinegar, lemon, cayenne pepper, and honey which represent the bitter, sour, hot, and sweet times in a marriage. It is a vow to weather to changes for better or worse.


Some officiates mention that this is the last time that the couple will give one another bitterness, sourness, or pain, and promise to be sweet!
