PreView Table: Blue & White Picnic

This wedding is in just a few short weeks at a North Carolina inn. The bride envisions an old-fashioned picnic. The event will take place under a tent with a perfect backdrop, rich with quaint detail.

I can't reveal a lot, but I love the linen we chose -very simple slate blue with a white linen overlay that lets the color peek through. The scallop-edged plates look perfectly at home with the family's milk glass collection.


Centerpieces are Roses, Dahlias, Lisianthus, Sweet Pea, and Daisies. There will be three on each 8 ft. table. The bride was specific in her request for dark colored greens. I used Salal and Italian Ruscus - a fave.

I plan to add old-fashion garden roses and orchids to the brides loose, unconstructed bouquet. I can't wait to share!
