Jennifer and Damien were married at St. Gregory the Great. A reception followed at Half Moone Cruise & Celebration Center.

They placed their plans in the capable hands of Antonia Christianson Events. She and her team made my job easy!

We started with a palette of gunmetal and ivory.

Purple flowers popped against the bridesmaids pewter dresses.

Long tables held low lush monochromatic arrangements, while rounds were topped with hydrangea and glittered branches for this cool, modern, winter wedding. We placed crystals everywhere and Pike Media lit it up! There were plenty of other details as well - like a surprise Red Sox ice sculpture, an ice cream bar, and a luxe lounge.

A great time was had by all.

Katrina and Kelvin were married at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside. Their ceremony and reception were held there.

The wedding party wore chocolate and we accented with pink flowers.

The reception matched the stationery - chocolate and silver. We added simple and beautiful white phalaenopsis centerpieces and lighting.

The night ended with some nostalgic tunes and Oreos and milk!

We were honored to be included in the current issue of Long Island Bride & Groom magazine! The article "Deconstructing A Wedding" is about what to do with wedding items after the day is over.

They published our suggestion of using non-standard wedding vases and lanterns - things that you could later use in your home. We also suggested making a christening gown out of your wedding dress to create a family heirloom or creating a ring bearer pillow for other family/friends weddings.

Invitation Love!

I reallly love paper. I buy it with no purpose in mind with the certainty that I will use it one day - if I buy it, the project will come.

I recently ran across my own wedding invitation from 10 years ago and I still love it today. I was surprised and happy to see that the company still offers it today. The craft envelope and closure sold if for me. I also added a custom cream outer envelope with the same letterpress motif from the invitation. Mmmm!

Charis and Keon's wedding at the Chrysler Museum of Art was beautiful and very emotional! The couple chose us for full service planning and design.

We alternated teal and moss crinkle taffeta linens and satin napkins. Gold Chiavari chairs and branches completed the look.

Centerpieces consisted of hydrangea, celosia, roses, and peacock feathers. Nora Pink orchids rested on each napkin.

They are a beautiful couple inside and out. It really is hard to sum up how I feel about them and their families. I was thrilled when Charis agreed to walk for me in the Uniquely Yours Bridal Showcase Fashion Show! It was a blast!

We've been busy little elves designing an amazing number of trees, mantles, and porches for our clients! But we didn't forget our own humble abode. Instead we used ornaments and elements from events past to create an eclectic, but lovely tree!

Is that a bouquet holder? Yup!

We added pods, masks, and willow balls too. My motto is, if it's leftover, spray it gold and put it on the tree!

Strands of capiz shells created a backdrop for the sand dollar place cards - and wind chimes!

Altar arrangements were manzanita with orchids, hydrangea and other wedding flowers seated in sand.

Market umbrellas created shade for the late day ceremony.

Gillian is so chill that she said do anything except sand and shells. Here is what we came up with.

For Gillian we combined white hydrangea, green cymbidiums, freesia, stephanotis, and phaelenopsis orchids.

Maids carried bouquets of blue hydrangea, green cymbidiums, and thistle which was then wrapped with aspidistra leaves.

Grapewood vine, phaels, and succulents in reindeer moss. Stemmed votive and sea urchin candle holders complete the tablescape.

Sneak Peek: Seaside Chic

Jon & Gillian were married at Aqua at Bay Creek Marina! The wedding ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking the bay, and the reception above the restaurant. I cannot wait to introduce you to this couple and the wedding team!

Here is a look at the design that we created. It has a decidedly seaside feel without sand or sea shells (a request from the bride).

Nile lamour linen was our canvas and we painted with grapewood vine (looks like driftwood), air plants, succulents, reindeer moss, and phaelenopsis orchids. Then we set it aglow with tons of candles at varying heights!

For the ceremony we used capiz shell, manzanita, hydrangea, thistle, hanging amaranthus and cymbidiums in a palette of blues and greens - but more on that next time.

I took these pictures but we will have pro pics from the talented Echard Wheeler in the coming weeks - so check back!

First sight.

The Christian ceremony combined elements of the bride's Native American heritage and the groom's Indian traditions.

Isha Foss Events was brought in for Wedding Month Management but it quickly grew into partial planning and design. I loved working with these gracious families. Wait until you see all the details!

Real Wedding Flowers: Peach/Orange/Coral/Yellow

The bride chose cornflower blue for her wedding at the Norfolk Botanical Garden and reception at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront. She wanted accents of peach, coral, orange, and yellow and fell in love with Ad Rem tulips that she saw in our studio. Here are the flowers that we designed for her event.

Bouquets and arrangements consisted of Ad Rem, Veronique, and Orange Juice Tulips; Chopin, Chloe, and Floret Calla Lilies; Orange Unique and Prima Donna Roses; Hypericum. The bride's bouquet also contained white peonies.

Real Wedding: Rachael & Sam, Pt. II

We loved working with this family for their wedding at the Chrysler Museum of Art. They were so gracious and the team of wedding professionals was outstanding. Please enjoy these images from David Schwartz Photography.

We hung the couple's escort card coasters from our potted manzanita branches. We carried that element through to these crystal adorned pieces with orchid accents to highlight the beautiful staircase.

Varying arrangements of cymbidium, phaelenopsis, and mokara orchids accented the linens in green with a subtle leaf pattern.

They loved the chuppah that we created for them and we were able to move it inside for the reception.

Real Wedding: Rachael & Sam, Pt. I

Rachael & Sam were married at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Mary's Garden. A reception followed in Huber Court. We were honored to create the design for this event and very grateful to their coordinator, Pearl Taylor, for bringing them to us.

Rachael is stunning in this beautiful image from David Schwartz Photography. We provided orchids for the bride and her maids to wear in their hair.

Peonies are significant to the bride and we were thrilled to be able to get them so late in the season. Bouquets consisted of hydrangea, peonies, garden roses, and cymbidium orchids. Men wore cymbidiums with ruscus, wrapped in black ribbon.

We really 'clicked' when the couple started to talk about wanting a very natural chuppah. I had purchased some "poles" that were actually dried vines (the kind Tarzan would have used) and was hoping to use them for just this purpose. We added curly willow and cymbidiums for a simple but lush look.

Fuchsia phaelenopsis orchids and gold chiavari chairs with lime bengaline cushions, gave a hint of the reception decor.

Real Wedding: Delaina & Carleton

Delaina & Carleton were married at their family church in Norfolk. A wedding reception followed at the Historic Chamberlin Hotel.

We created the colorful bouquets using the bride's favorite flower - stargazer lilies - which matched the bridesmaid's dresses perfectly.

We also created candelabra arrangements of stargazers, hydrangeas, stock, and roses, which lent themselves both to the formal setting and summer season.

Isha Foss Events provided Wedding Day Coordination in addition to floral design.

We wish the couple a long and happy life together!

Did you know that the wedding cake symbolizes fertility and prosperity?

The traditionally accepted practice is for the bride to have the first bite; otherwise, she’d be childless. There’s a time during the reception when the bride will cut the cake, and again, there is a standard practice for this: the husband should place his hands over the bride’s. The cake should be cut from the bottom layer and never at the top. After the bride cuts the cake, both bride and groom have had their bites, the cake should be wheeled to the kitchen so that it gets sliced into portions for the guests - and affords the opportunity for satellite cakes. Sweetheart Table Arrangements

Many brides don't feel that they need flowers for the sweetheart table. They prefer to use their bouquet in a vase. This can be nice, but it is rarely enough of an impact for the most important - and photographed table at the wedding.

A rose and orchid centerpiece we created for one of our clients.

Here are my tips for sweetheart table arrangements:

When using the bouquet, enhance with tons of candles - floating and votive.
Flowers should be low enough for photos and for guests to see the couple.
It is nice when the arrangement "spills over" the table
The arrangement should be wide enough to cover the front of the table - at least a foot.

Dominique and Patrick were married on May 1, 2010 at their church in Chesapeake, VA. They asked us to create a colorful tropical look in shades of yellow, purple, brown, coral, and orange.

Dominique was fascinated with Pincushion Protea after she saw them at one of our events. We included a base of Hydrangea, Schwartzwalder Calla Lilies, Panee Orchids, Ad Rem Tulips, Phaelenopsis, Fern Curls, and rolled Ti Leaves.

We submerged all the wedding flowers in different configurations on the guest tables. We alternated BBJ Linen's Autumn Kyoto reversible linens on the table and added brown chair covers. The couple loved it!

A New Baby Arrives!

Good Morning all!

I wanted to take a moment to share with our clients and friends the new addition to my family. My husband and I welcomed our first son, Maddox Lennon Janulewicz, on April 14th. He was born at 8:52AM, weighing 8 pounds 1 ounce, measuring 19.5 inches.

We feel so incredibly blessed to have him in our lives. I have been busy adjusting to life as a mother now and spending some of the best times of my life bonding with our little man. I have included a few pictures as well, because naturally, I love to show him off.

Maddox is currently snuggled with me while I type this one handed. :-) We are heading out for our first walk in the stroller and I am quite excited for it!

I cannot wait to catch up with everyone when I join the IFE team again in a couple weeks. Good luck to all who have weddings this weekend.

Real Bat Mitzvah: Hot Pink, Zebra, and Feathers

We were so excited for Carly's Bat Mitzvah at the Westin in Virginia Beach! We had worked with several of her friends and she was the last of the group. She and her mom knew that they wanted zebra and feathers - so that's what we did!

We also provided flowers (and grew the wheatgrass) for the bema and dinner on Friday.

At the celebration, we began to reveal the inspiration in the place cards...

...but still tied in the wheatgrass and gerbers.

Add in some lighting from Pike Media Resource.

We did standup cocktail tables, plus clover and lounge seating for the kid's side.

We got to see this family at all of the other celebrations, and we will miss them.

Flower Purses and Shoes Made from Leaves

These centerpieces from Julia's Bat Mitzvah were inspired by the beautiful work of Michel Tcherevkoff in his Shoe Fleur 2009 Calendar. Of course we did not copy his designs exactly (he can use Photoshop and alas we cannot) but instead interpreted them for our client.

Sneak Peek: Fashion Themed Bat Mitzvah

So, by now you know that I love Bar/Bat Mitzvahs - the service, the celebration, the kids! I met this family three years ago when another client was Bat Mitzvahed. The mom said, I am going to hire you for my daughter's event in 3 years - but for now you can help me with my son's. We worked together on a cool and simple design that year and then last year my phone rang and Ellen said "It's time!". We have been having a blast figuring out the colors. Six linen samples later, here is what we came up with.

( The napkins were actually purple and I had them taken out of the glasses as they were distracting.)

There were so many details for this one. We did 6 styles of flower purses and 7 styles of shoes from leaves. There were custom drink stirrers and sign-in board, cookie display, popcorn bar, kid's lounge, and paper poms over the dance floor! So check back for all the details!

Uniquely Yours Bridal Showcase Recap

This past weekend I had the pleasure of participating in the Uniquely Yours Bridal Showcase. I must admit that I did not see much of the show floor but what I did see was awesome! The wedding vendors had outstanding displays and the brides came out in full force!

My role this year was as a sponsor and producer of the bridal fashion runway show. This was our first time undertaking such an event and my team rose to the challenge! We provided great entertainment with a live band and dancers simulating a first dance/hip-hop routine!

But the highlights were the bridal fashions! I LOVED going to the salons and selecting dresses (I secretly wished that I could try some on)!

This gown caused a stir when the "groom" ripped off the skirt to reveal a mini dress!

Another favorite part was the music which I worked on with my favorite DJs, Shawn Cox and Roger Cruz of Astro Entertainment. (They came up with most of it and I said yay or nay.) Anything that Shawn suggested, Roger knew of a remix that was just right for the vibe I wanted. It was A M A Z I N G !

Caylyn's Hollywood themed Bat Mitzvah

I love working with the young people. This Bat Mitzvah at Princess Anne Country Club was one of my favorites.

When her Coordinator, Pearl Taylor, introduced me to her, Caylyn knew that she wanted traditional Hollywood decor: Stars, clapboards, and the Hollywood letters. She also wanted royal blue and tie-dye. Her mom wanted some pink flowers somewhere and the royal toned down on the adult side of the room.

Holiday Party: Green / Gold / Copper

We recently created this space for a client's holiday party at the Founders Inn & Spa. We wanted to make the most of the space and not fight the colors and traditional look of the room. We chose complimentary colors of Moss Green, Antique Gold, and Copper.

Lighting washed the room in a warm glow. Blue Steel Pro Lighting added a gobo to the dance floor and the company's logo to the wall. Pinspotting highlights the floral arrangements.

Hydrangea, Roses, Orchids, ornaments, and branches blended with holiday greens for a modern twist on traditional florals and sat atop crinkle linens.

We used ornaments inside the vase and as table number holders. Napkins were done in an envelope fold.

Mercury look glass held small arrangements and ornaments for the cocktail hour. We used tones of silver and gold with silver crinkle linens.

Our clients loved the look that we created for them and we enjoyed doing it.

Real Wedding: Autumn Tones and Fall Fruits

We were so excited when Andrea asked us to provide the floral for her wedding at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. She had chosen gray for her wedding party attire and wanted berry colored accents and the warmth of autumn - with fruit!

Done!

For the bride we created a hand-tied bouquet of Akito roses, white mini calla lily, and Snowberry. We wrapped the stems in white satin and added a pearl cuff.

Bridesmaids carried Hot Lady and Hot Princess roses, Pink Persuasion and Purple Heart mini calla lilies, Safari Sunset leucodendron, hypericum berries, and a collar of Ti leaves.

For the ceremony we dressed our iron arch in fresh curly willow and accented with a combination of lilies, roses, celosia, greens, and amaranthus. Hanging votives added the finishing touch. The arch was flanked by our urns which held the same flowers as the arch. The aisle was strewn with rose petals.

We used our copper sheer vine linen in the cocktail hour. A lantern, curly willow, hydrangea, grapes, and a Sumatra lily complete the setting.

Berry colored linens, Sumatra lilies, Cherry Brandy and Hot Lady roses, fresh apples, red and Concord grapes and Bombay celosia worked with the gray and added the warmth of Autumn.

Stephanie and Heath were married at the bride's family home in Yorktown, VA. They wanted a very simple and natural affair - with a pig and oyster roast! They gathered their closest family and friends and treated them to good food, charming folk music, and fire pits.

Stephanie purchased Mason jars to hold simple arrangements of gerbers, mums, pussywillow, cattails, and waxflower among a variety of greens. Her wedding colors were sage and burgundy.

The bride called us about six weeks before the event to give her a hand finishing up the details. Isha Foss Events provided Event Coordination and procured the rentals for this event. We were a gift from her sister - the best Maid of Honor ever!

Purple Centerpiece Flowers

I created this centerpiece for the Lesner Inn Open House back in February and just ran across the image. This is a composition of 3 cylinder vases ranging from 15" - 22" in height - each containing variations of tulips, freesia, delphinium, and stock in shades of blues and purples. Complementary cylinders of floating candles and petals make for a full tablescape. Votives complete this affordable, and modern look.

Take a look at this wedding reception at Main Street Station in Richmond, VA. The urban, yet upscale location lent itself perfectly to the design for this wedding. The bride came to us with a color palette of plum, chocolate, and golden yellow. We took it from there.

The bride chose red, yellow, and white for her wedding reception at the Cavalier on the Hill. She had always dreamed of celebrating her marriage there and wanted to match the decor of the historic hotel. She also wanted a lighter summer feel since her wedding was in July.

Helene & Carlo's wedding at St. Joan of Arc, and reception at The Williamsburg Lodge were full of cultural traditions.

During the ceremony they incorporated the Filipino traditions of cord, veil, candle and Arrhea (coins) as well as Taiwanese customs. The couple surprised guests with a lion dance, and made paper cranes which hung from trees.

They changed into traditional garb for their first dance and guests received chopsticks as wedding favors. It was fantastic and I had looked forward to it for a very long time. I will share images from this amazing event as soon as I receive them. My photos would not do it justice.

Sneak Peek: Fuchsia & Black w/ Turquoise

Renee and Ray's wedding and reception were held at the Founders Inn in Virginia Beach. Renee knew she wanted Fuchsia, Black, and Turquoise for her wedding colors. I knew she loved these colors because she was wearing at least one, if not all of these colors every time I met with her.

The bride's bouquet - Peonies, Hot Lady roses, callas, lisianthus, brain celosia, and phaelenopsis orchids w/ crystal dragon flies. I collared it in feathers and wrapped the stems in black satin w/ a rhinestone buckle.

* A special thanks to Bill for getting me these images so quickly. The wedding ended at 11 PM and I had them in my hand by 11 AM the next day! I was anxious to get them onto my new website which I hope to release in a week or two. Thanks so much for reading!

Sneak peek: Red & Yellow

For a wedding reception at the Cavalier on the Hill, red and yellow was the perfect color scheme. The ballroom of this historic hotel has lots of red and gold wallpaper. Our bride is very traditional and always dreamed of having her first dance beneath the grand chandelier.

She chose yellow dresses for her bridesmaids and a color palette of yellow and red. She liked gerbers to make the flowers youthful and summery.

For the bride's bouquet I used Charlotte and Jupiter roses. Yellow and white mini callas add to the elegance, while red and yellow mini gerbers make it fun. The stems are finished in white satin with a pearl garland wrap.

Regina's wedding reception was held at the Chrysler Museum of Art. The bride loved the look of a black and ivory wedding, but she really wanted color as well. She also wanted to pay tribute to her mom who passed away. The ribbon color for her mom's form of cancer is teal so we needed to incorporate that in a subtle way.

The brides bouquet - Black Magic, Ravel, Orange Unique roses, orange and pink gerbers, magenta stock and variegated pittosporum. Wrapped in lace to pickup the detail on the wedding dress and mantilla.

Our custom Picadilly runners and coordinating table numbers - accented with a teal ribbon.

Isha Foss Events provided wedding day coordination and floral design. The ceremony took place in Norfolk. We will share those images as we receive them.

Real Wedding: A vision in white

This wedding reception at the Chrysler Museum of Art was clean, simple, and beautiful!

The bride requested that all flowers - bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces consist of a single type of white flowers with no greenery. The bride carried white peonies ( a find in July), the maids, white french tulips, and the men wore white freesia. The pews were marked with white hydrangea and altar pieces consisted of french tulips in a base of hydrangea (slight breaking of the rule).

Centerpieces were white dendrobium orchids. Uplighting and pin spotting by Blue Steel Lighting Design highlighted the florals and gave the room a soft glow.

White phaelenopsis orchids accent the cake. Silver dotted ribbon on the candles mimic the design on the cake.

Isha Foss Events provided Wedding Month Management (coordination) and floral design.

It was a dreamy day for Mike & Cara's wedding at Virginia Beach landmark, Steinhilber's Restaurant!

The whole event was about community - the bride grew up with the restaurant owner, one neighbor, a judge, performed the ceremony, another baked the cake!

I love this image of Cara, so beautiful and serene. That's how she was throughout the planning. Of course she has some amazing sisters that looked out for her at every turn. Then there is her awesome mom Peggy. Love her - and her sassy hat!

The wedding party was made up of family and friends. They were a blast.

Besides the fabulous scenery and people, the food was amazing and the service excellent. Nothing more could be asked. It was a magical day and we were thrilled to be a part of it. Check back for a look at the reception and lovely details!

Eden & Dan's wedding was charming in all the personal details. Eden made these place cards which displayed pictures of the couple and some of their favorite places. The pictures corresponded to the table names (we also made a diagram of the table layout to assist guests).

The Catering Company of Williamsburg created the wonderful cocktail hour. The bar hutch and copper tubs add just the right touch in this historic setting.

I love this cheese display. The 'plates' were terra cotta dishes!

The tablescape was made up of collections of lanterns from friends and family.

The couple enjoy their vintage sodas...

... and then depart in a vintage Plymouth.

Real Wedding: Eden & Dan - Pt. I

Eagle's Nest was the perfect setting for Eden & Dan's charming wedding. The Charles City, VA site is nestled among a nature preserve and true to its name, eagles flew over several times during the weekend!

The bride and groom created the fans.

All the calligraphy was done by the groom's mom.

It rained a couple of times, but nothing could stop this event from being joyous. After a torrential downpour, a rainbow appeared and everyone ran out of the tent to take pictures. It was a blast. Please come back for pictures from the cocktail hour and reception.

The bride wanted colorful flowers to accent the celadon bridesmaids' dress she chose. I suggested shades of orange with accents of golden yellow.

The bridesmaids carried hand-tied bouquets of Dark Milva and Orange Unique roses, Flame calla lilies, and mokara orchids.

We then discussed several flowers that would give her the clean centerpiece look that she wanted. She liked the idea of using one type of flower in a vase, but she liked every flower I mentioned - so we used them all.

Real Wedding: North Carolina B&B Wedding

The Pond House Inn in Elizabeth City, NC was the setting for a recent wedding. The bride chose a color palette of slate blue and white, with accents of pink and yellow.

The aisle followed the natural curve of the land. Petals were all that were needed.

I filled the family's collection of milk glass and enamel containers with peonies, spray roses, lisianthus, and tender sweet pea.

Lanterns on posts and stakes provide an evening glow.

The bride was beautiful and her mother put so many personal touches into the wedding. I hope to share those images with you when I receive the professional photos - so check back!

B'Nai Mitzvah: Pink/Black/White

When I met the twins they could not agree on colors. He, a skateboarder, wanted black and she, a dancer, wanted pink. Mom wanted simple, non-floral centerpieces. Easy Breezy.

Fresh Gerber Daisy Pomanders hung over the cocktail tables.

We alternated the polka dot linen - Adult tables were round and rectangles for the kids.

Swags over the dance floor were accented with faux gerber pomanders.

Centerpieces were dancers in tutus and skateboarders atop lighted spandex mini towers.

I cut these legs from foam core and added a tutu to serve as a sign-in board for Rachel. Noah's friends signed a skateboard.

Flowers En Masse

I find nothing more modern or beautiful than an arrangement of a single type of flower. It almost doesn't matter what the flowers is. It can often be a quite cost-effective and dramatic decor option.

A Garden Wedding Pt. II

For this wedding in Norfolk Botanical Garden, the bride wanted the indoor setting to seem appropriate and not overdone.

Crisp white linens were topped with navy pintuck overlays that matched the bridesmaid dresses.

Centerpieces on half the tables were arrangements of roses, tulips, peonies, and hydrangea among greens of Salal, variegated Pittosporum, and seeded Eucalyptus in whitewashed baskets.

Our trio of white iron lanterns are the alternate centerpiece. Moss and a few blooms complete the arrangement. (I also line the lanterns - saves time on cleanup.)

We draped the dance floor with chiffon and hanging votives w/ crystal prisms. Uplit trees softened the corners of this smaller reception and brought in the outdoors.

A Garden Wedding Pt. I

The bride chose navy bridesmaid's dresses but still wanted a Spring look for her wedding at Norfolk Botanical Garden.

I chose to lighten everything up with pastel colors - petal pink, butter yellow, and spring green. Each goes well with navy and look great together!

For the bride's bouquet I used Sarah Bernhardt peonies, green hydrangea, yellow/green parrot tulips, and Skyline roses. I collared the bouquet with Lemon Leaf and a simple wrap of ivory silk satin.

The ceremony site is beautiful on its own so we kept it simple. Urn arrangements held pink Larkspur, Bells of Ireland, Curly Willow, hydrangea, Esperance and Skyline roses and Sarah Bernhardt peonies. I also included greens - Salal, Variegated Pittosporum, Myrtle, and Fatsia leaves.

The altar arrangements frame the fountain and accentuate the stone balustrade. Our votive lanterns line the aisle.

The ceremony was at dusk so we used candles and tied them with a simple, clean satin bow. For a daytime wedding moss and a few blooms would be another option.

I love Renaissance Court at Norfolk Botanical Garden, beautiful from any angle.

Sneak Peek: Purple Wedding Flowers

The bride asked for textured bouquets in varying shades of purple - her fave. The bridesmaids wore latte and espresso dresses. It was as yummy as it sounds!

Here are the wedding party flowers.

I used Amnesia roses, purple Lisianthus, lavender Stock, purple Freesia, and dark purple Tulips. Fern Curls add a whimsical touch and tie in with the dresses. Everything is collared with folded Aspidistra leaves and touches of Salal and Seeded Eucalyptus.

I added Curly Willow for the Maids of Honor, to differentiate them.

The groomsmen wore Fern Curls and Freesia with a touch of Eucalyptus seeds backed with a Lemon Leaf.

The flower girl's pomander uses all the same flowers as the rest of the party. I tied it with a sheer latte colored ribbon.

The ring bearer's pillow of Pom Pom Mums and tied with a purple ribbon.

For the mother's, nosegays of Super Green and Amnesia Roses, Schwartzwalder mini Calla Lilies, green Viburnum, and a Fern Curl.

The Studio Table: Pomanders

Pomanders are a popular and versatile decorative element for weddings and other events. This morning I had some Kermit Button Mums left over from a ring bearer pillow so I made this little cutie to accompany a small arrangement on the studio table.

The kissing ball below was carried by the flower girl in a recent wedding that we detail this week.

These pomanders were hung in the pre-reception area of the B'nai Mitzvah that we styled this past weekend. We will be sharing more images from this event very soon.

Congratulations to Carly & James! Their wedding was held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk. The wedding reception took place at the Lesner Inn.

The bride works at a wedding venue and knows a lot of wedding professionals. I was thrilled when she asked me to be a part of her wedding!
